About
OphthalmoClub is a platform dedicated to research, experimental model development, and simulation-based microsurgical training in ophthalmology.
The platform aims to support knowledge exchange through translational research activities and structured surgical simulation programs. Its main goal is to contribute to the safe and systematic development of surgical skills using controlled training environments and scientifically designed models inspired by real clinical challenges.
OphthalmoClub was founded by Prof. Dr. Nagihan Uğurlu, an ophthalmologist and academic researcher working in translational ophthalmology. The platform builds on extensive interdisciplinary academic experience in research, project development, and surgical training.
The platform promotes collaboration between basic sciences, clinical disciplines, and engineering fields. Research and training activities focus on experimental model development, ex-vivo applications, and structured simulation-based learning environments.
All activities conducted within OphthalmoClub are organized solely for education and scientific exchange purposes. No procedures are performed on patients.
OphthalmoClub operates within the LHUSTEK TEKMER structure of Lokman Hekim University, Ankara, Türkiye.
