Translational Research

Scientific R&D Activities

OphthalmoClub is a platform focused on research and development activities in ophthalmology, inspired by scientific inquiry and translational research approaches.

Research activities are conducted in collaboration with academic researchers and interdisciplinary teams interested in ophthalmic science and translational biomedical research. These activities are structured within a translational framework that brings together basic sciences and interdisciplinary biomedical research relevant to ophthalmology. Projects are planned with an emphasis on scientific methodology, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical applicability.

OphthalmoClub is open to scientifically defined collaborations with academic researchers, R&D companies, and interdisciplinary project teams.

R&D Collaboration Areas

Scientific collaboration and contribution are possible in the following research areas:

  • Development and characterization of ocular controlled drug delivery systems
  • Targeted therapeutic strategies for eye diseases
  • Pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic, and toxicity studies of ocular therapeutics
  • Development of in vitro and in vivo experimental eye disease models
  • Development and evaluation of simulation-based training models in ophthalmology

These activities may include experimental design, methodological development, and scientific evaluation.

Scientific Contribution Framework

OphthalmoClub may contribute to collaborative research projects through:

  • Scientific guidance on research methodology
  • Translational research approaches in retinal diseases
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration models
  • Structuring of research and development processes
  • Academic project development strategies

Ethical Framework and Scope

Research collaborations conducted within OphthalmoClub are organized:

  • for scientific research and knowledge exchange purposes,
  • within the academic and institutional responsibilities of the collaborating researchers,
  • without involving clinical procedures or interventions on patients.

Determination of research topics, ethical approvals, data generation, and academic outputs remain the responsibility of the relevant researchers and institutions.
